Sona Script Use Policy

Last Updated: 09/28/2026

This Script Use Policy (“Policy”) governs the access to and use of scripts provided by Sona Audios LLC (“Sona,” “we,” “us,” or “our”).

Sona scripts may be provided to voice actors, performers, creators, collaborators, contractors, applicants, or other authorized individuals for purposes including auditions, casting, recording, production, collaboration, and the creation of content intended for Sona.

By accessing, downloading, receiving, reviewing, performing, recording, or otherwise using a Sona script, you agree to comply with this Policy.

1. Ownership and Copyright

Unless otherwise expressly stated in writing, all scripts provided by Sona are proprietary content owned by, exclusively licensed to, or otherwise controlled by Sona Audios LLC.

All applicable copyrights and other intellectual property rights in the scripts are reserved by Sona and/or the applicable rights holder.

Providing you with access to a script does not transfer ownership of the script or grant you any copyright, publication, distribution, commercialization, or other intellectual property rights in the script.

You receive only the limited permission necessary to use the script for the specific Sona-authorized purpose for which it was provided.

2. Authorized Use

A Sona script may only be used for the purpose for which Sona provided or expressly authorized it.

Authorized purposes may include:

  • preparing or submitting an audition to Sona;

  • recording an audio commissioned, licensed, or otherwise authorized by Sona;

  • participating in a Sona Original, collaboration, series, or other Sona production; or

  • another use expressly approved by Sona in writing.

  •

Receiving or accessing a Sona script does not grant permission to use it for any other personal, professional, commercial, or public purpose.

3. Audition Scripts

When a script is provided for an audition, permission to use the script is limited solely to preparing and submitting that audition to Sona.

An audition recording made using a Sona script may not be published, posted, distributed, sold, monetized, uploaded to a portfolio, used as a demo, shared on social media, or made available on another platform without Sona’s prior written permission.

Receiving an audition script does not guarantee selection, engagement, compensation, or any future relationship with Sona.

Unless Sona expressly authorizes otherwise, permission to use an audition script ends once the audition process for which it was provided has concluded.

4. Recording and Performance Rights

Sona scripts may only be performed or recorded by the individual or creator to whom Sona provided or authorized the script.

You may not give a Sona script to another voice actor, performer, creator, company, platform, or third party for recording or production without prior written authorization from Sona.

Authorization to record or perform a script does not, by itself, authorize you to publish or distribute the resulting recording.

Any publication, distribution, monetization, licensing, or other exploitation of a recording created from a Sona script will be governed by the applicable agreement with Sona.

5. Exclusivity and Outside Platforms

Unless Sona expressly authorizes otherwise in writing, Sona scripts are intended exclusively for Sona-authorized use.

You may not use, perform, record, publish, distribute, sell, license, monetize, or otherwise make a Sona script or a recording based on a Sona script available through another platform, service, website, membership program, subscription service, social media account, audio platform, marketplace, or other distribution channel.

This includes both free and paid distribution.

Sona scripts may not be used to create content for competing platforms or services.

6. Sharing and Reproduction

You may not reproduce, repost, publish, upload, distribute, sell, sublicense, share, or otherwise make a Sona script available to any unauthorized person or third party.

This includes sharing scripts through websites, social media, Reddit, Discord, Patreon, membership platforms, cloud folders, public databases, script repositories, forums, or other online or offline channels.

Reasonable copies made solely for your own authorized performance, audition, recording, or production workflow are permitted.

If collaboration with another person is necessary for an authorized Sona production, please obtain Sona’s approval before sharing the script unless that collaborator has already been authorized by Sona.

7. Script Modifications and Improvisation

We want performers to be able to bring authenticity and personality to their performances.

Unless otherwise specified for a particular project, minor performance-based adjustments are generally permitted, including:

  • natural improvisation;

  • small wording adjustments for conversational flow;

  • minor changes to phrasing;

  • reasonable adjustments to pet names or similar language; and

  • adjustments to delivery or optional performance directions.

However, substantial changes to the story, characters, scenes, relationships, themes, sexual content, kinks, consent framework, or overall intent of the script require prior approval from Sona.

If you are unsure whether a change is considered minor or substantial, please contact Sona before recording.

8. Confidentiality and Unreleased Content

Some Sona scripts may contain unreleased stories, characters, concepts, projects, collaborations, casting information, or other confidential or proprietary information.

Unless Sona has made the relevant information public or expressly authorized disclosure, you may not publicly reveal, summarize, reproduce, tease, leak, or otherwise disclose unreleased scripts or material contained within them.

This applies regardless of whether you ultimately participate in the project.

Any separate confidentiality or nondisclosure agreement you have entered into with Sona remains fully applicable.

9. Artificial Intelligence

Unless expressly authorized by Sona in writing, Sona scripts may not be:

  • uploaded to or used to train, fine-tune, develop, test, or improve an artificial intelligence or machine-learning model;

  • entered into generative AI systems for the purpose of generating derivative scripts or substantially reproducing Sona's content;

  • used with synthetic voice, voice-cloning, or AI-generated performance technology; or

  • used to create an AI-generated or AI-replicated performance of the script.

Sona scripts are intended to support original creative work and performances by authorized human creators.

10. No Derivative or Adapted Works Without Permission

Except for the limited performance adjustments permitted under this Policy, you may not adapt, rewrite, translate, transform, remix, create sequels or prequels to, or otherwise create derivative works based upon a Sona script without Sona’s prior written authorization.

Characters, storylines, settings, series concepts, or other protected creative elements contained within Sona scripts may not be extracted and used to create separate projects outside of Sona without authorization.

11. Credits

Writing credits, creator credits, and other attribution requirements may vary by project.

Where Sona provides specific crediting instructions, those instructions must be followed. Nothing in this Policy authorizes removal or alteration of copyright notices, proprietary notices, watermarks, author credits, or other rights-management information included with a Sona script.

12. Content Standards

Sona scripts and productions may include mature or sexually explicit fictional content intended for adults.

Any script containing adult content is intended solely for use by adults age 18 or older. Characters participating in sexual or romantic content must also be depicted as adults.

Creators are never required to perform material they are uncomfortable performing. If you receive a script containing content you do not wish to perform, please contact Sona rather than substantially altering the script without approval.

13. Unauthorized Use

Any use of a Sona script outside the permissions granted by this Policy or a separate written agreement with Sona is prohibited.

If Sona becomes aware of unauthorized use, publication, distribution, reproduction, or commercialization of its scripts, Sona may revoke permission to use the applicable script and may request removal of the script, recording, or other unauthorized content.

Sona reserves all rights and remedies available to it under applicable agreements and law.

14. Relationship to Creator Agreements

This Policy establishes general rules governing the use of Sona scripts.

Creators working with Sona may also be subject to a Creator Agreement, Independent Contractor Agreement, NDA, license, production agreement, or other written agreement.

If a specific written agreement between Sona and a creator expressly conflicts with this Policy, the terms of that written agreement will control with respect to that conflict.

15. Updates to This Policy

Sona may update this Policy from time to time as our platform, productions, and creator programs evolve.

The current version of this Policy will be available on Sona’s website and will display its most recent update date.

For a particular script or project, the version of this Policy in effect when the script is provided or authorized for use will apply unless Sona and the creator agree otherwise in writing.

16. Questions and Permissions

If you would like to request permission for a use not expressly permitted by this Policy, or if you are unsure whether a particular use is allowed, please contact Sona before using, sharing, recording, or publishing the script.
